Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara merupakan salah satu Kabupaten di Provinsi Bengkulu yang memiliki potensi perkebunan sawit terbesar. Dimana terdapat 15 perusahaan besar kelapa sawit yang ada di wilayah Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara, untuk itu potensi kelapa sawit yang ada di produksi oleh industri menghasilkan CPO. Disamping itu, banyak kemanfaatan lain yang bisa dihasilkan dari kelapa sawit baik dari bijinya maupun cangkang dan kernel sawit. Potensi inilah yang akhirnya menimbulkan ekonomi baru di lingkungan masyarakat sekitar. Dimana terdapat industri pengolahan kelapa sawit hasil sortiran atau yang tidak memenuhi standar ekonomi pabrik CPO dimanfaatkan untuk cairan asam yang bisa diolah menjadi sabun, dll.

Hal ini tentunya harus menjadi perhatian Pemerintah dalam mewujudkan program hilirisasi industri kelapa sawit di Provinsi Bengkulu. Untuk itu, Kepala Dinas Perindag Provinsi Bengkulu bersama Kabid Agro dan Pengembangan Perwilayahan Industri melakukan kunjungan langsung ke lokasi pabrik mini tersebut di Desa Pasar Bembah Kecamatan Air Napal Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara pada tanggal 21 Februari 2024.
