Untuk Kesekian Kali, Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Provinsi Bengkulu beserta Satgas Pangan Provinsi Bengkulu dan Dinas Perindag Kota Bengkulu melakukan pemantauan bersama ketersediaan dan harga Bawang Putih di pasar panorama. [9/5/2019]. Peridang Provinsi Kabid PDN dan Jajaran, Satgas Pangan Wadireskrimsus beserta jajaran, Perindag Kota Kadis beserta Jajaran langsung meninjau ke pusat-pusat Distributor Besar Bawang Putih yang memasok Bawang Putih bagi kebutuhan Provinsi Bengkulu.

Seperti diberitakan sebelumnya bahwa kenaikan harga bawang putih yang terjadi di kota Bengkulu pada umumnya murni disebabkan sebagai akibat dari suplai bawang putih yang tersendat dari Ibukota, Jakarta sehingga stok Bawang Putih di Distributor-Distributor di Provinsi Bengkulu khususnya di Kota Bengkulu habis. Kelangkaan ini lebih disebabkan terjadinya mekanisme pasar karena hal ini tidak hanya terjadi di Provinsi Bengkulu melainkan juga terjadi secara Nasional.

Hasil Pantauan yang dilakukan harga konsumen yang dijual di pasaran rata-rata sudah turun Rp. 45.000/kg dibanding sehari sebelumnya yg berkisar di angka Rp 50.000/kg. Dan trend menurun ini akan terus berlangsung dimana diasumsi kan oleh salah satu distributor Ipung akan stabil pada Minggu kedua dan ketiga Mei diharga Rp.30.000,- per kilo
